Caprine
Physical Description
Short and stout, sturdy yet surprisingly agile and nimble. These are common traits of the Caprine centaurs. They might be one of the smallest types of centaurs within the isle, but they are not to be underestimated. They are durable, withstand elements, and are capable to traverse terrains other centaur types would avoid.
Caprines have a wide variety of different fur coat types; from short and coarse hair to luxuriously soft woolen fleece. Wool coat type is valued highly, and individuals born with it usually take good care of their fleece coat. The high quality of the wool is a source of great pride for a Caprine, as well as income.
All Caprines carry horns, but those born male usually carry the biggest ones.
Behaviour
For a long time Caprines have stayed in hiding. What originally drove them into hiding is unknown, lost into history. But lately they have finally begun to dare to come out and integrate within other taur types. While there is still some wariness within the Caprine about the other centaur types, they usually warm up to others rather quickly. Caprines value peace, and much prefer making friends rather than enemies.
Some Caprines, especially males, tend to be bit hotheaded. There is bit of "act first, ask later" mentality. While that mindset can stir some troubles, Caprines are usually rather calm and avoid serious conflict. They value comforts of home, hold friends and good food dearly, and rarely go on daring adventures. Caprines value community strongly, and there tends to be strong herd mentality within these communities. They have strongest trust towards their own kind, but warm up to outsiders rather easily. Caprines don't have strong hierarchy, but are very laid back and see each other as equals.
Other centaur types have described the caprines as "naive" and "simple", but that is a crude stereotype without knowing the nuances of the Caprine mindset. Why stress about the happenings of the world, when you can relax at home with your buddies with a good food and good book.
